In 2009, Hababos S.A launched a limited edition series, the Gran Reserva. The Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills Gran Reserva Cosecha 2009 Cigar became one of the series' most sought after cigars since its release.
The tobacco used in the Gran Reserva comes from the Vuelta Abajo region of Pínar del Río, Cuba’s westernmost province. The tobacco fields in Vuelta Abajo is so popular because of the extraordinary properties of its soils, remarkable climatic conditions and the inherent planting traditions of its population.
All of the tobacco in the Gran Reserva have undergone an ageing process of five years, which gives it a distinctive and delicious flavour. It has also been said that the cigars released in the Gran Reserva series are assessed by expert tasters from across the country, to ensure that the best flavours are drawn out of this series.
The cigars flavour profile is medium, with an excellent base note of warm peanut butter. As the first third progresses, the flavours mellow out before kicking off with the delivery of some pepper and mineral tones such as rock and metallic. This progression continues into the final third, developing a more robust and flavourful profile. Warm nuts, with peppery punches, this Romeo y Julieta cigar for sale makes for one of the best Cuban Cigars.
With only 5,000 boxes released, this is an exclusive and limited cigar which showcases the brand's supreme excellent in cigar craftsmanship.
These Classic Cigars deserve to be pride of place in any room and would look excellent in either of our Humidors:
